Barud is an accommodation units in Gedera, conducted in harmony with nature.
There are 2 different units for our guests:
Family Suite: A family unit (50 sq. m., 500 sq. ft.) which includes 3 small rooms with a separate entrance adjacent to the owner's house of 9 stairs.
It includes two furnished bedrooms, TV room, fully equipped kitchenette, bathroom, Jacuzzi bath, laundry and ironing room. The bedrooms include double beds and closets. The TV room is furnished with a couch that can be converted to a double bed and a TV unit. All rooms are lockable for privacy. The kitchenette is equipped with kettle, microwave oven, refrigerator, electric stove, toaster, utensils etc.
Basement studio: A 50 sq.m unit that includes a large room with double bed and couch, a small room with a double bed and a bathroom. The unit includes a kitchen equipped with kettle, small oven, microwave oven, electric stove, toasters and utensils. The well-lit basement has large windows. The unit has a separate entrance adjacent to the owner's house.
*Passing from the small room to the bathroom is through the large room.
A short-term accommodation unit in Gedera
Both units are suitable for those looking for temporary accommodation for business purposes, etc.
The pricing in this case is daily pricing depending on the number of rooms, the number of guests and the length of stay.
Check in starts at 13:00 (1:00 PM) and checkout is at 11:00 (11 AM).

The family does its best to live ecologically and buy proper products for environment and people.
We separate waste for recycling. We choose food products that do not contain artificial food coloring and preservatives.
All sheets and towels are made of cotton and washed at high temperature for maximal sterilization.
We provide the guests with hypoallergenic blankets, bath robes, hair dryer, shampoo, soap, laundry products and softeners etc.
The garden grows fruits and spices for the family and guests.
Pleasant Stay
The units are air-conditioned. Keeping healthy atmosphere, smoking is forbidden inside the
house but possible in the garden.
In spite of our affection of pets, we cannot let them enter the house.
*Free parking is available in black and white markings in front of the house
Quiet Character of Place
The house is located in a quiet neighborhood.
Therefore, it is not suitable for guests wishing to make loud music and similar activities.

Barud 1910 - 2017
Barud was born in 1910 in Michalf, a small village in Yemen. Her Zionist family dreamed of immigrating to Israel and at the age of twenty, with a one-year-old baby, immigrated to Israel when the British ruled Israel. She was a special person, loving people and loved by all. She was privileged to bring seven children and enjoy a tribe of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
At the age of 97, Barud died at her home in Rehovot, surrounded by her lovers.
Pnina, the owner of the B&B, immortalized her mother in Barud, when she called the B&B by its name.

*Guests are requested add copy of their ID or passport with the reservation.
Family unit: 470 ILS per couple, 128 ILS per each additional person.
The price includes use of 2 rooms:
One bedroom and a TV room + sofa.
The unit can host up to 6 people including the use of a sofa opening for two guests.
*It is possible to accommodate two guests in two separate bedrooms at an additional cost of 128 ILS
Basement Studio: 384 ILS per couple - Using the big room only.
102 ILS per each additional person, up to additional 2 person.
*It is possible to accommodate two guests in two separate bedrooms at an additional cost of 102 ILS
Guests holding Israeli passports/ I.D. will add 17% VAT.
* A discount of 10% is given for an order of 7 nights and more.
* Breakfast – we do not serve breakfast, but products can be ordered at nominal cost.

Gedera is a small town that has been developed in recent years adding new
inhabitants looking for rural atmosphere away from the bustling cities. It was established in 1884 by immigrants from east Europe and is among the oldest towns in Israel. Later years saw immigration from Yemen and recently from Ethiopia while people from Europe have continued to come. Gedera is a stepping stone for sightseeing and trips. It is situated near the Cross-Israel Highway (route 6), connected via route 7.

The house is located at a nice and quiet neighborhood. Parking is in the street.
We have two bicycles that you can use for riding in and around Gedera.
There are various attractions nearby for adults and children.
