Barud is a small family hotel and a guest house located in Gedera, Israel.
We are pleased to host our guests in a 50 sq. m. unit that includes two bedrooms
(about 10 square meter each), TV room, well equipped kosher kitchen with kettle, refrigerator,
microwave/grill, electric stove, toasters, dishes, coffee, milk and more, W.C., jacuzzi and laundry room.
The bedrooms are both double with closets. The TV room is furnished with a couch that can be
converted to a double bed, a cable TV and a DVD unit.
Each of the three rooms can be closed for privacy.
Foodstuff for breakfast: bread, cheese, vegetables, eggs, cereal and more
are in the kitchenette for self-preparation.
We are not religious but we keep and serve kosher food only
and our kitchen is accordingly equipped.
We strive to manage an ecological way of life and to use environmentally friendly products.
Waste is separated and products are recycled. Food is mostly without artificial flavors
and preservatives. Detergents are mostly environmentally friendly. All sheets and towels
are made of cotton and laundered at high temperature for maximal sterilization. We provide
the guests with covered anti allergenic blankets, bath robes, hair dryer shampoo, soap, laundry
products and softeners etc.The garden grows fruits and spices for the family and guests.
The house is equipped with central air conditioning units and a fireplace in the lounge.
The whole house is a non-smoking area and the guests are kindly requested to smoke outside
in the garden. The accommodation unit requires ascending nine steps from the rear entrance and
from inside the house. In spite of our affection of pets, we cannot have them inside the house.
The unit can accommodate a family of six or two couples, but even one couple
will have the whole unit during their stay without sharing facilities with others.
price for a couple holding only foreign passport is €75 without breakfast
and €20 for each edditional person (breakfast is additional €6 per person).
Guests holding Israeli passports/ I.D. will add 17% VAT.
Price for a couple is €88 including privacy in all the unit, or €100 with a full breakfast.
Price for each additional person is €24, or €30 with a full breakfast.

Gedera is a moshava (township) that has been developed in recent years adding new
inhabitants looking for rural atmosphere away from the bustling cities. It was established
in 1884 by immigrants from east Europe and is among the oldest towns in Israel. Later years
saw immigration from Yemen and recently from Ethiopia while people from Europe have
continued to come.Gedera is a stepping stone for sightseeing and trips. It is situated near
the cross-Israel highway (route 6), connected via route 7.

Haifa – 60 min.
Dead Sea and Massada – 75 min.
Ashdod seashore – 15 min.
The house is located at a nice and quiet neighborhood. Parking is in the street.
We have two bicycles that can be used for riding in and around Gedera.

can be found in the town and shopping malls are in Rehovot and Ashdod, 20 minutes drive.
